So, has anyone out there not heard of World of Warcraft? Well, I'm a recovering WoW addict. I was beyond addicted for a long time. I neglected my family and job to raid on WoW. I played for over 3 years until, I almost lost my wonderful wife, we'll call her Wifey, because of a stupid game!
It should have been obivous to me that staying up until 3 and 4 a.m. every morning, and being more worried about getting to my computer to raid than spending quality time with Wifey is not a good way to grow a marriage. Well, it wasn't! But, after some very, very dark times in our marriage (we made it to 3 years on 6/29!), I've finally gotten my priorities straight and our marriage is back on track, the way it should be!
So... Wifey just got a new job and she'll be working evenings until 11 p.m. 3 nights a week. So this gives me a couple of hours of "me" time after I get our 3 yr old son down for the night. (I also have a 4 yr old son from a previous marriage, I only get him every other weekend though :( ) So anyway, for my "me" time, I decided to start playing WoW again. But this time, I'm doing it right. I'm going to be playing it only when I should be (ie. when my wife's at work), and not neglecting everything else to do it.
So I'll now be exploring the more casual side of the game. No raiding unless it's a quick PUG. And of course, trying to get Wifey to join in and play! I'll introduce you to my new toon (and probably my old ones as well) in the near future. I'll get a few pics to share and keep you updated on his leveling process and other things!
