Last night, Wifey had to work again for getting the 4th of July off :-(, so me and Thing 2 had to go it alone again. We went to the grocerie store first to get him some chocolate milk and a cupcake. (They have like the best cup cakes in the world there!) They have these buggies there that look like a little truck, he rides up front and the "bed" of the truck is the actual buggie part. He loves driving those. After the grocerie store, we headed back home for the evening. I asked Thing 2 what he wanted to do. "I want to eat my cup-cake and go knock out some Wob-gob-i-wins!" he said excitedly. So we headed downstairs, to the computer room after he had licked most of his icing off(that's how he "eats" cupcakes) and fired up Free Realms.
We played Free Realms for about an hour and he started getting restless and tired. "I want to do something different," Thing 2 said. So we headed to the Wii after going through the list of possiblities with him. He chose to play Mario Kart... Mario Kart used to be his "thing" we played (both boys, actually), so much so, that I now have gold medals in every single cup, at all levels. All of the victories came with the help of my boys!
Needless to say, after all of this racing, it was kind of getting old to me, so I decided to try the online multiplayer version of the game. This is great fun, by the way, but when you have a tiring 3 year old, the extra time it takes to match everyone, and pick the track, etc. makes him get tired of it pretty quick. I think I got about 3 races in before he was ready to switch to Wii Sports and do some bowling.
But alas, after 1 game of bowling, when I was just getting into it, lol, he was ready to head upstairs and to bed. We watched some Wonder Pets, had a quick snack, and got him to bed.
Now I still had a couple of hours to kill before Wifey got home, so I headed back down to play some WoW, but I really wasn't all that into it... just missed Wifey tonight. I did make about a level and a half (so I'm 16 now). I think I'm gonna mainly do a once a week post about the leveling process.
Anyways, 11 rolled around, and I was soooo excited Wifey would be home soon, but she wasn't. :-((
No big deal though, she saw a friend that used to work for her at her previous job and stopped to talk for a few minutes. Finally, Wifey got home! We snuggled for a bit and went to sleep.
