So, I just had to leave work for a bit to go to the city court. I got pulled over a couple of weeks ago for having an expired inspection sticker... Well, instead of just taking care of the ticket, the cop made me go to court.
I got there about 5 mins before the time the told me, and the whole room is full. I've never been to anything like this, so it was kinda neat, but it was eating up my lunch time! That part sucked. When they started, the judge just starts calling people up one at a time and says, you're here for "blah, blah, blah."
While I was waiting for my turn, there were some cool ones:
- Underage Consumption
- Driving on Revoked liscense
- Brandishing a Weapon
- etc.
So... when they finally got to me, the judge called me up and seemed almost amused that an expired inspection sticker was all I had. He sent me over to the prosecutor to show him my receipt, and then we went back up to the judge to get it dismissed. All that took 45 mins and now I have to have Wifey and my son (we'll call the youngest one 'Thing 2') have to bring me lunch. It sucks that I won't get to see her much because she's gotta work tonight. At least she's off tomorrow!
